Three games were played in the afternoon on Sunday. At 2:30 p.m. at Ambergris Stadium, Jeromy James remains his teams only goal getter in this four-week old season, as visiting F.C. Belize held the San Pedro Dolphins to a 1-1 tie. Jarro put F.C. in front with his fifth goal of the season at the 54th minute, but Deris “Colombia” Benavides salvaged the draw for San Pedro at the 80th minute.

At 4:00 p.m. on a wet and muddy MCC Garden in Belize City, the visiting Revolutionary Conquerors also jumped in front on a 62nd minute penalty conversion by David Trapp, but home standing Belize Defence Force got the equalizer in the 89th from Erwin “Bird” Flores, to salvage the 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, also at 4:00 p.m., down at the Carl Ramos Stadium in Dangriga, the visiting Suga Boys Juventus was bombarding the previously undefeated Wagiya to the tune of 5 to 1. Oliver Wiltshire put Wagiya in front at the 22nd minute, but it was all Suga Boys the rest of the way, with goals coming from Freddy Tun at the 36th, Oliver Hendericks at the 47th and 85th, Aaron McLaughlin at the 50th and Christopher Hendericks at the 69th minute.

• TO THE RESPONSES TO THE MALE SOCIAL PARTICIPATION AND VIOLENCE STUDY... I want to use this medium to respond to the varied responses to the Report – ninety percent of which have been positive, the other 10 percent ranging from misguided to plain disappointing. I want to inform the 10 percent that most of the very shallow things whispered in Belize about the research reached me within 24 hours from people I have never met – strangely not from my research team (that seems to believe that it is better not to inform me of these things).
